Corporate Awards, Nominations and Notable Achievements

We've very pleased to have our hard work and efforts recognised and nothing means more than a simple 'thank you' from our Clients. However, we have also collected some official commendations, and would like to tell you about them here.

 

 

2011 Considerate Constructors National Site Awards Winner

Our work at St Aubyn's Church was commended by a Bronze Award at the National Site Finals held in April at the Plaisterers' Hall in London

The Award was collected by Andy Wells, Contracts Manager for the project, and Steve Craddock, Head of our D & B Refurbishment Team.

 

2011 Considerate Constructors National Site Awards Nominee

 

The awards ceremony, held in April, will reveal whether we have won a bronze, silver or gold award for our project at the Plymouth High School for Girls.

2011 LABC South West Building Excellence Awards Commendation

 

We were delighted to have three projects nominated for this year's regional LABC Awards, and even more pleased that all three were shortlisted. Our Site and Project Teams attended a Gala Awards Dinner at the Imperial Hotel, Torquay and were thrilled to collect a Commendation in the Best Community Development Category of the South West Regional Building Excellence Awards 2011 for the Devonport Park Pavilion.

2011 LABC South West Building Excellence Awards Nominee

 

We were delighted  to have three of our projects shortlisted and subsequently nominated for the Best Community Development. It is a little unusual to have several of our own projects completing against each other, but we’re not complaining!

 

The projects nominated were the Devonport Guildhall, Devonport Park Pavilion, and St Aubyn’s Church.

 

2011 Abercrombie Award Nominee

Three Devon Contractors Contracts have been nominated for the 2011 Abercrombie Awards for the People Of Plymouth, and we were very excited that the Guildhall and St Aubyn's Church have been shortlisted as finalists.

2011-2013 Abercrombie Award for the Best Conversion or Conservation Project, for St Aubyn's Church

2011-2013 Abercrombie People of Plymouth Award, for the Devonport Guildhall

2010 BCSE Industry Award:

 

Highly Commended by the British Council for School Environments, for Best Outdoor Learning Environment at Mayflower Primary School.

 

 

LABC South West Building Excellence Awards 2010

Devon Contractors were finalists in the Best Educational Development category with their development at Mayflower Community School in Ham, Plymouth and were also winners of the Best Technical Development with the restoration and refurbishment carried out at Plymouth High School for Girls.

2010 Considerate Constructors Bronze National Site Awards

 

The Design and Build Team for Mayflower Community School were delighted to win this prestigious and much coveted award in recognition for their extensive community efforts throughout the construction of this £Multi-Million project.
