Considerate Constructors Scheme
As
a conscientious building contractor, we endeavour to do all we can to minimise
the disruption our construction activities have upon the local community. To
demonstrate this, we encourage our clients to allow us to register as many of
our projects as possible with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and our Site
Managers are strongly motivated to score highly. After first joining the scheme,
our Construction Management Teams were fully briefed upon its importance and
our commitments to its objectives.
The Site Managers quickly engaged in a spirit
of friendly competition between sites, and now feel disappointed to score less
than 35 out of 40. The Directors have encouraged this attitude by making additional
resources available to the construction teams, Our average score with the Considerate
Constructors scheme is currently 33.
Most contracts with a Public Body, National Organisation or Charitable Trust are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The benefits of the scheme are explained fully to our Private Clients, but we are prepared to accept that they may not wish their project registered.
