This Plymouth City Council school regeneration project was in partnership with the governing bodies of Ham Drive Nursery School, North Prospect Primary School and South Trelawny Primary School.

In September 2009, the North Prospect and South Trelawny Primary Schools were replaced by a brand new, fourteen classroom 2FE state-of-the-art community primary school on a site next to Ham Drive Nursery School. The new school offers four hundred and twenty places for pupils, an admission of sixty pupils per year, and geneous community facilities. Additional pre-school places are provided by Ham Drive Nursery School.

  • The objectives of this Design and Build Scheme were:

  • To improve the quality of teaching and learning in the area

  • To build a better, more up-to-date learning environment by replacing the current outdated facilities which are in poor condition

  • To remove surplus capacity and so release funds that could be better spent on teaching and learning

  • To invest in Ham and North Prospect to enable children, parents and the local community to have easier access to better sports, arts and educational facilities during and outside normal school hours and in the school holidays
