This project was a twenty seven bedroom extension to an exsiting nursing home on a steeply sloping and confined site in Paignton.

The new, modern, clean and fresh design contrasts and complments the existing and much older building, which was originally a private house.

The new building complies with the strict new legislation which controls the standard of residential care homes and provides high quality accomdation for the elderly and mentally infirm.

The mono-pitch roofs feature generous overhangs to provide summer shade and large windows set into the rendered walls allow generously proportioned views out across Torbay.

The day rooms open out onto an external terrace where elderly residents can sit out and enjoy the views and warm weather.
