New Classrooms, Changing Rooms and Sports Facilities at Tavistock College

This project was one project but involved three separate areas of work that had to be carried out as a phased programme due to the extreme cramped working area of the campus.

The works involved the building of new classrooms, the building of changing rooms and fitness suite and the conversion of existing rooms to form new teaching facilities.

Access was very restricted and shared with the pupils and staff and so involved careful planning and health and safety procedures to minimise any risk.

The main construction was a steel framed building with traditional cavity walling and a profiled metal roof. The windows were aluminium double glazed, with attached Brise Soliel.
