The Jubilee Building, Thatchers Cider

Devon Contractors were responsible for the construction of a new 26,000sqft kegging, bottling and barrelling building for Thatchers Cider at Sandford, Somerset. Won through a traditional tender process, the biggest challenge was to meet the clients budget through extensive value engineering. Our construction programme was very tight and was fast tracked to fit within the apple harvesting seasons. Site logistics were complicated and the associated infrastructure works had to be very carefully planned to avoid disrupting the client’s ongoing business operations elsewhere across the site. This new building has created a growth platform for a very popular national brand based here in the South West.
