Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club, East Devon

The first of several highly successful projects at Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club for Mr. & Mrs. Nigel Mansell began with the opening of a luxuriously appointed leisure complex. The standard of workmanship expected was of the very highest level, and no expense had been spared to provide a mosaic tiled heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and expansive changing facilities. A wooden floored dojo, state of the art gymnasium, two indoor squash courts with a comfortable viewing area, and an indoor tennis centre were also constructed with meticulous care. We also created an overflow car park, helipad and an outdoor football pitch in the grounds of the Club.

Mr. & Mrs. Mansell were so impressed by the finished project and the engaging, co-operative relationship formed by our Company that Devon Contractors were invited back to build a large function suite adjacent to the Clubhouse. With its own bar, bandstand and dance floor, this building can comfortably accommodate 250 guests.

The third major contract was perhaps the greatest challenge. The indoor tennis courts of the leisure centre were successfully converted into a luxury fifty-three bedroom three storey hotel, all encased within the original structure.
